History and Mission
Who we are:
Machine Development Co. was founded in 2003 to provide outstanding design and engineering service to heavy industry.
In 2020 Belfield Engineering LLC acquired the designs and assets of Machine Development Co. to enable Belfield Engineering LLC
to provide high value design services to heavy industry based in the upper Midwest as well as
previous MDC customers around the world.
Our Chief Engineer who is a co-founder of the company brought with him a wealth of knowledge
and experience as a design/build project engineer to the heavy marine fabrication and automated machinery
industries. Additional extensive experience designing machinery to the mining industry broadened
Belfield Engineering's scope of services offered. Additional customer referrals have taken us deep into additional
industries, along with extensive work supporting other engineering firms in a variety of
related fields.
We are an engineering and design job-shop working in a broad cross section of industries which keeps us very
sharp at generating value-based solution to your project.
We design new automated machinery and stationary systems around the world from our
low overhead office in the rural Dakotas.
